The Crusaders sent out a big warning to other teams in the Vodacom Super Rugby series as they produced an excellent first-half blitz to run out comfortable 42-14 winners over the Hurricanes in Wellington.

The Waratahs ease to a 30-21 win over the Rebels in the latest in a long sequence of substandard, boring Australian Super Rugby derbies in Sydney.

The Chiefs continued their winning roll by beating the Sharks 18-12 in a closely fought Super Rugby match at Mr Price Kings Park in Durban.

Flyhalf Morne Steyn saved his team’s blushes with a 26-point haul as the Vodacom Bulls edged the Brumbies 36-34 at Loftus Versfeld despite being outscored five tries to two.
