Commons hits early to lead Celtic past Inverness
Inverness, Scotland (SportsNetwork.com) – Kris Commons scored inside the
opening three minutes at the Caledonian Stadium on Sunday to help Celtic get a
1-0 win over Inverness.
The Hoops wasted no time in opening the scoring as Commons played a quick
give-and-go with Georgios Samaras before firing a low shot past Dean Brill in
the Inverness net.
It proved to be all Celtic would need to collect all three points as Fraser
Forster kept a clean sheet for the remaining 87 minutes to guide Neil Lennon’s
side to its 15th Scottish Premier League win of the season.
Celtic, still unbeaten through 18 league games, stays atop the table by
