Chinese Super League side Guizhou Renhe have confirmed Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand and Chelsea’s Frank Lampard are their No.1 transfer targets this summer.

Guizhou, who are unbeaten after their opening two games of the season, are making moves to rival the likes of Shanghai Shenhua after the big-spending club captured the signature of Nicolas Anelka in January.

Shanghai are also keen to sign Anelka’s former Chelsea team-mate Didier Drogba when his contract expires at the end of the season and are understood to be willing to make him the highest paid player in world football.

And now with Chinese football seemingly on the rise, Guizhou are said to be willing to break the bank to lure Lampard and Ferdinand to the Far East with lucrative £250,000-a-week contracts.
