Galatasaray club officials have confirmed that Didier Drogba is set for a return to Europe and Champions League football with Turkish Champions Galatasaray. The club has agreed terms with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and the 34 year old Drogba is set to sign his new 18 month deal following the African Cup of Nations.

The Galatasaray deal includes transfer fees totalling 6 million euros and payments of 15 000 euros per match, plus signing fees of 4 million euros. Drogba’s transfer comes straight after Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder joined from Inter Milan two buys that have significantly strengthened their team ahead of the knock out stages of the Champions League.
