Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas lifted the Primera División trophy, after his side had finished off a record-breaking season in style with a 4-1 victory over Real Mallorca.

First-half goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema had Real comfortable and the 80,925 capacity crowd was further entertained after the break by a Mesut Özil double. Chori Castro netted the visitors’ consolation.

The win saw Madrid become the first Spanish side ever to reach 100 points, and the four goals saw them set a new La Liga season record of 121. Ronaldo set a new club mark for individual goals scored in one year (60) and became the first ever player to score against all 19 opposing teams during a La Liga season.
