Ferrer lifts Paribas Masters

David Ferrer continued his stellar year, with a second consecutive win on the ATP Tour, his seventh of the year, and most importantly his first Masters Series Title, when he defeated giant Polish qualifier 6-3, 6-4, in the final of the Paribas Masters in Paris.

Ferrer is the first to win a Masters Series event other than Djokovic, Federer, Murray and Nadal since 2010. The Spaniard was to good for the world no. 69 Janowicz who has had the tournament of his life, beating 5 players in the top 20 on his way to the final. The Pole will find himself in the top 30 come tomorrow when the new rankings are released.

Ferrer now moves on to London and the 02 Arena, which plays host to the top 8 and the World Tour Finals.
