Maria Sharapova won her second straight Rome title on Sunday, defeating China’s Li Na 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7/5), in a match full of momentum shifts, and a lengthy rain delay.

It was the world no. 2, 26th title in all and she now stands 7-4 against Li in the head to head stakes.

Heavy rain caused Sunday’s eagerly anticipated Rome Masters final between defending champion Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal to be postponed until Monday.
