Arcadia, CA (Sports Network) – My Miss Aurelia, second in this year’s
Breeders’ Cup Ladies’ Classic, returns to the races on opening day of Santa
Anita’s 76th season in the $300,000 La Brea Stakes. The filly is the 4-5
morning line favorite in the seven-horse field of 3-year-old fillies.

Trained by Steve Asmussen, My Miss Aurelia will again be ridden by Corey
Nakatani in the seven-furlong La Brea and break from post five. Nakatani has
been aboard the filly in her last two starts, winning the Cotillion Stakes at
Parx Racing.

“She’s doing great,” said Scott Blasi, assistant to Asmussen. “She’s a good-
feeling filly. She’s not mean, very manageable and self-reliant.”

My Miss Aurelia, owned by Stonestreet Stables and George Bolton, was beaten by
Royal Delta in the Ladies’ Classic by just 1 1/2-lengths which stopped her
career opening six race win streak.

The filly began the streak in July 2011 by winning her first start and
continued it with victories in the Adirondack, Frizette, Breeders’ Cup
Juvenile Fillies, Mandys Gold Stakes and Cotillion.

My Miss Aurelia, who will carry 123 pounds, comes into her final race of 2012
with six wins and a second from seven career starts for $2,386,000.

Here is the complete field for the La Brea in post position order: Mama Kimbo,
Mike Smith, 9-2; Nechez Dawn, Edwin Maldonado, 10-1; Reneesgotzip, Garrett
Gomez, 4-1; Creditcardroulette, Joel Rosario, 20-1; My Miss Aurelia, Corey
Nakatani, 4-5; Candrea, Martin Garcia, 12-1, and Book Review, Rafael Bejarano,
6-1.

Post-time for the La Brea is scheduled for 4:38 p.m. (ET) Wednesday.
