Simona Halep battled bast Yvonne
Meusburger to capture the clay-court title at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The third-seeded Halep broke the Austrian’s serve nine times in a 6-3, 6-7
(7-9), 6-1 triumph.

Halep has been on quite a roll of late, losing just once in her last 17
matches. On Sunday, the Romanian won her third career WTA title. She collected
her first two titles last month at Nuremberg and Den Bosch.

Meusburger played in just her second WTA final and first since a loss at Bad
Gastein in 2007.
