Radwanska into quarters; Kirilenko exits Korea Open

Seoul, Korea (Sports Network) – Top seed and world No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska
was an easy second-round winner, while second-seeded Maria Kirilenko failed to
reach the quarterfinals at the Korea Open.

The Polish Radwanska rolled to a straight-set victory over Estrella Cabeza
Candela, as she needed just over an hour to dispose of her Spanish
counterpart, 6-2, 6-1, on the hardcourts at Seoul Olympic Park Tennis Center.

Radwanska’s quarterfinal opponent on Friday will be Russian Vera Dushevina.

Meanwhile, 42-year-old Japanese Kimiko Date-Krumm upended the 2008 Seoul
titlist and 2007 runner-up Kirilenko in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1. Date-Krumm,
who captured this event in 2009, will face former French Open champion
Francesca Schiavone in the round of eight.

Also on Thursday, Korean wild card Su Jeong Jang bounced back to down Tunisian
qualifier Ons Jabeur by a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 margin.

The other quarterfinals will pit third-seeded Russian Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova
against Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu and Su versus Spaniard Lara Arruabarrena.

The 2013 Seoul champ will collect $112,467.
