Dakar, Senegal (SportsNetwork.com) – The Ivory Coast played to a 1-1 draw with
Senegal on Saturday to clinch a spot in the 2014 World Cup next summer with a
4-2 aggregate victory.

After the Ivory Coast ran out to a 3-1 victory in the opening leg, Senegal got
back to within a goal thanks to Moussa Sow’s 77th-minute penalty in the return
match.

But Salomon Kalou struck in the fourth minute of stoppage time to help the
Ivory Coast deny Senegal a late comeback.

Nigeria also secured a spot in next summer’s World Cup as Victor Moses and
Victor Obinna scored in the nation’s 2-0 defeat of Ethiopia on Saturday, which
granted the Super Eagles a 4-1 aggregate victory.
